Sarah Davis, LMHC, LPC, CEDS-S
Sarah Davis (she/her/hers) is a licensed psychotherapist based in Manhattan. She is licensed in the states of New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Florida and Texas and is a board-certified National Counselor (NCC) and Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor (CCMHC). Sarah’s primary focus throughout her career has been on the treatment of eating disorders, body image issues, and trauma. She is especially passionate about these populations and pursued opportunities to gain extensive training and years of direct experience, which has included relocating to various states. By specializing in these areas, Sarah has been able to build deep an expertise in effectively helping those struggling with these issues.
Sarah is a Certified Eating Disorders Specialist (CEDS) and Approved Supervisor and Consultant (CEDS-S) through the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals, which requires years of direct experience treating individuals with eating disorders in addition to extensive trainings - it is the only nationally recognized certification for eating disorder professionals at this time. Sarah is also a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) and an approved trained EMDR therapist, which is a highly specialized form of therapy for those dealing with the effects of trauma.
Throughout her career, Sarah has served in a variety of roles ranging from primary therapist, supervisor, and program director at some of the nation’s top eating disorder and mental health treatment centers. She has worked with clients at various levels of care including inpatient, residential, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient and is experienced in providing supervision to clinicians working with eating disorders, as well as trauma, who would like to hone their skills and/or attain certification as an eating disorder specialist themselves. In addition to eating disorders and trauma, Sarah has provided clinical services for those struggling with a broad range of mental health issues, using a trauma-focused and person-centered approach while incorporating a variety of clinical modalities based upon the individual needs of each client. Sarah was also trained in Embodied Recovery for Eating Disorders (EDRD) through the Embodied Recovery Institute.
In addition to her clinical work, Sarah has extensive experience conducting quantitative research focused on eating disorders and body dissatisfaction, which she has presented in many national and international conferences. Further, as an advocate for eating disorders, Sarah has engaged in many outreach and public speaking events with leaders in the field. Currently, in addition to her full-time practice, she is provides clinical supervision for Eating Disorder Recovery Specialists based in New York City.

Alex Kasputis, LMHC-D, NCC
Alexandra (Alex) Kasputis (she/her/hers) is a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC), licensed mental health counselor with diagnostic privilege (LMHC-D) in the state of NY, and a provider of LGBTQ+ affirming care. She is trained in EMDR and certified in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), both of which are evidence-based treatments for individuals who have experienced trauma. In addition, Alex received training by the Albert Ellis Institute in Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT); this approach assists individuals in managing their unhelpful beliefs and difficult emotions in a healthier way. Alex is also in the process of receiving her certification as a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist (CEDS). She is licensed in the states of New York and Massachusetts.
Alex has extensive experience working with those who struggle with eating disorders, mood and anxiety disorders, and trauma. She is especially passionate about helping these populations. Alex has worked with clients in a variety of clinical settings, including inpatient, residential, and outpatient. Prior to her work at Sarah Davis Therapy, Alex most recently served as a primary therapist at Monte Nido which is one of the nation’s best residential eating disorder treatment centers. Alex additionally supervises other therapists in working with disordered eating and a range of other mental health struggles.
Alex believes in building a foundation of self-compassion with clients, encouraging them to talk, treat, and approach themselves as they would a loved one. Her unique approach is person-centered and eclectic, utilizing warmth, curiosity, humor, and a nonjudgmental stance. Alex’s goal is to help you reconnect with yourself, discontinue self-sabotaging behavior, and live the life you want. She is excited to meet you in your recovery journey!

Katie O’Connell, LCSW, CASAC
Kathryn (Katie) O’Connell (she/her/hers) is an experienced psychotherapist who received her Master of Social Work (MSW) in Advanced Clinical Practice from Columbia University in the City of New York. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Credentialed Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) trained to help those struggling with eating disorders, anxiety, body image, and addiction. She is licensed in the states of New York, New Jersey, and Florida. Katie has extensive experience working in both outpatient and inpatient settings with these individuals. Katie is also in the process of obtaining her Certified Eating Disorder Specialist certification (CEDS).
Katie partners with individuals who feel they are living a life controlled by harmful thoughts and behaviors and who are motivated to create the life they deserve. She helps people reconnect their minds and bodies to identify and achieve their wellness goals while utilizing a trauma-informed lens.
By using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, as well as aspects of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Katie helps guide people out of the vicious cycle of eating disorders and anxiety related disorders. Her nonjudgmental and holistic approach focuses on spiritual, emotional, and mental health to assist someone relearn their true values. Katie believes investigating the way we perceive situations and thoughts can teach us about our behaviors. By shifting perspective, Katie will partner with you to develop healthier skills to replace the maladaptive behaviors interfering with your self-growth!

Alissa Vitale, LMHC, NCC
Alissa Vitale (she/her/hers) is an experienced licensed mental health therapist based in the state of NY. She specializes in the treatment of eating disorders, trauma, personality disorders, and mood and anxiety-related disorders. Alissa is passionate about supporting clients, couples, and families as they work toward their goals, connect with their values, and identify the adaptive and maladaptive patterns and dynamics in their lives. She is licensed in the states of New York, New Jersey, South Carolina, and Florida.
Alissa is skilled in a variety of evidence-based therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). She is certified in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), an evidence-based trauma treatment, and is also trained in Brain Mapping and Neurofeedback which are approaches that assist in regulating and stabilizing cognitive function. Prior to her outpatient work at Sarah Davis Therapy, Alissa most recently served as primary therapist at Monte Nido, one of the nation’s best eating disorder treatment centers, where she provided individual, family, and group therapy. Alissa is also in the process of receiving her certification as a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist (CEDS).
Alissa recognizes that no one approach applies to all clients’ and utilizes a multimodal approach to treatment, always meeting clients where they’re at. She brings an authentic, client-centered, non-judgmental stance to her work. She focuses on creating a space of safety, connection, and growth, and believes the work of uncovering trauma, facing fears, and implementing goals, is possible for each one of her clients.

Staci Abby, MA, LCAT
Staci Abby (she/her/hers) is an experienced Licensed Creative Arts Therapist (LCAT) with a Masters in Drama Therapy from New York University. Staci has extensive experience in working with those struggling with eating disorders and body image in both outpatient and higher level of care settings as well as working with individuals living with a variety of mental health concerns. Staci takes a Health at Every Size and trauma-informed approach with all clients and is trained in a variety of evidence based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT).
Staci strongly believes in the use of creativity in the recovery journey to create a strong relationship between the body, mind, and emotions leading to increased connections to one’s own roles and values. She is passionate in working with those who struggle with eating disorders and disordered eating, body image concerns, trauma, and mood and anxiety disorders. Staci has previous experience working at Balance Eating disorder Treatment Center and currently serves as Primary Therapist at Within Health Eating Disorder Treatment program in addition to her work at Sarah Davis Therapy. Staci is in the process of registration as a Registered Drama Therapist as well as receiving her certification as a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist (CEDS).
